Merci Julien, pour ta Rosette de Lyon, ton jambon d’épaule fumé, tes rémoulades, tes rillettes, tes crottins de Chavignol, ton Reblochon, ton pain au levain, tes cervelas, ton boudin,… et ton espresso à réveiller un cheval. Ta boutique est devenue ma roche de Solutré que je gravis avec plaisir tous les vendredis.
I just can't get enough of the food at Chez Julien. It's simple and honest, good quality ingredients cur on demand, and delicious french dishes to take home for dinner, let's spread the word in Suribiton this little warmly shop really deserves to succeed!
I had a yummy chicken leg in mustard sauce with rice for lunch today, at less than 5 quids to eat in it is fantastic! Well done!!! I'll come as often as I have time to step out of the office to pick-up my lunch or dinner
Alas, I am not immune to the recession. Therefore, I have not been in to see Julien as often as I would like recently. However, I managed to pop in for breakfast this morning, picked up some meat for lunch and some sausages for dinner while there. As always, Julien's wares did not disappoint; the almond pain au chocolat was a perfect way to start the day, the saucisson made a great addition to our lunch platter and the Toulouse sausages were a perfect accompaniment to my ratatouille and new potatoes. All in all a more than satisfactory visit!
Suffice to say that I will be doing everything I can to keep this wonderful addition to Surbiton alive and kicking!
Chez Julien is incroyable! The confit de canard is amazing and I use them all the time when I have dinner parties - good quality and fantastic prices. Fresh food and a good atmsophere!
My favourite place to shop for food in Surbiton. Love the bread, the pate, the service and the fruit tarts. This is such a fantastic little establishment; I will be purchasing and eating as much of Julien's pate as I can to ensure I have a healthy padding to endure this bleak winter!
Chez Julien Deli is a fab place to visit. Not only does it offer great range of real french delicacies, at very reasonable prices (certainly much better value than our own supermarkets!) but everything is daily made and sliced to order. The big Chery on the cake for me on top of all this is the very friendly service (nothing like Paris, blieve me!), as well as their classic french catering menue, absolutely unbeatable! A gem I'd like to recommend to all!

Lived in Surbiton for three years and have only just discovered chez julien. What a fantastic place! Perhaps a little more marketing would help?

Does superb pastries. Really good bread. The waitrose foodie brigade should shop over here instead.
