Surbiton Neighbourhood Committee in a packed meeting last night unanimously voted to recommend to Development Control to refuse planning permission to erect a retirement home at the corner of Upper Brighton Road and Langley Avenue.

This takes place TOMORROW, Wednesday 16th July at 7.30. Please note that the meeting is at THE GUILDHALL, KINGSTON not at Dysart School as usual.

Of interest to Surbiton Hill residents will be the planning applications from Sunrise Assisted Living to demolish 3 houses in Upper Brighton Road and build an assisted living home for the elderly and consultation on development at the Red Lion pub at the junction of Red Lion Road and Ewell Road.

In case you've not noticed the banner on King Edwards Recreation Ground - next Saturday (19th) it will be transformed into a Family Fun Day and Market.

Surbiton Rotary are organising this for the Neighbourhood for the third year running, and each year it gets bigger.

Starting at 11am there will be a bouncy castle, animals, rides and stalls, plus a circus skils workshop,...
