Do you want to be involved in an exciting project to create an inspiring vision for Kingston?

Using the creative arts and media, residents of Kingston-Upon-Thames are invited to remember the past, explore the present and imagine the future. This project will explore two different generations’ relationship with Kingston through the exchange of experiences, stories and ideas. 300 people across two generations: young residents between the ages of 19-25 and older residents over 55 years, will come together to make their mark on the future of Kingston.

What is the project?
Artgym™ , in partnership with Transition Town Kingston (www.ttkingston.org) is launching this exciting project. Working alongside artists, film-makers and designers, all the ideas that residents create together will be used to broadcast our community’s vision for an inspiring, greener place to live. The events will also be captured and edited into a documentary to showcase to the rest of the world.

How will it work?
If you are aged between 19 and 25 years or are over 55 years old, you are invited to come along to one of the four half-day Artgym events. Each event will take place in the Royal Borough of Kingston in March 2010. Each event will last 3 hours and promises to be a very exciting and inspiring experience. Your input and ideas are very important and will go on to inspire fellow Kingston residents and other communities in the UK and beyond.

Come and join us for this unique opportunity for the residents of Kingston to create an inspiring vision for their community and to share it with the rest of the world!
