What is the point of the Kingston Informer?

It has become thinner each week, this week's pages are full of Royal Wedding Street Parties. Is it worth printing it any more ? It hardly contains any news and doesn't inform us of anything useful!

Has anyone else noticed that although the front page states 'Kingston Informer', the header on all the following pages is titled 'Richmond & Kingston Informer'. Does the whole paper except the front cover get used for both papers? As only half the content is based in Kingston, it does seem to be the case.

I get it in Long Ditton. In fact about ten years ago my children used to be paid ( a very small amount) for delivering it, along with all those paper adverts for supermarkets and pizzas. I think it must depend on there being someone locally with a car who is sufficiently desperate to go to all the trouble of distributing bundles of the Informer to the even more desperate deliverers.

LIke all local news, TV, radio and newspapers, it is all regional stabbings.

I live in central Surbiton and get the Informer shoved through my door every week. Heaven knows why. It's always full of stories about Twickenham and Whitton. And I don't even know where Whitton is.

I didn't even know it was still going. I haven't had one for years and live in the centre of Surbiton.

We are in central Surbiton and never get it now either. It used to come through the door every week.
