South West London train passengers to be delayed for next six weekends

Train passengers in south west London are set for a series of frustrating travel weekends while major engineering work takes place in the Wimbledon area.

Trains will not be running to Waterloo during weekends in January and February from many south west London stations due to the works. No trains will run between Clapham Junction and Surbiton or between Clapham Junction and Kingston via Wimbledon during weekends until the middle of February. A bus replacement service will run between Clapham Junction and Surbiton.

Berrylands station will have no service at all on weekends until early February and passengers are advised to take the K2 bus service between Surbiton and Kingston, which will accept valid train tickets.

Many passengers during the first weekend in January took to twitter to vent their frustrations at the delays and cancellations.

Due to the large number of alterations to services a special timetable for individual routes has not been published. You can use the South West Trains ‘print your own timetable’ page to view the changes that may affect you here: www.southwesttrains.co.uk/createyourowntimetable.aspx
