Barmy Surbiton parade promoting community spirit is best yet
The mythical goat boy of Seething Wells led a barmy parade to remind people to be more neighbourly at the Seething Festival.
More than 500 people took to the streets to celebrate Lefi Ganderson’s defeat of the giant Thamas Deeton, at the third Seething Festival on Sunday.
As leap years are special in the legend of Lefi, the festival goers performed a community play to challenge people to use the extra day to do something special for others.
There was music from the Green Rock River Band, while Ale Voice Choir led the parade featuring cheese makers, talcum miners and taxonomists in a community singsong.
The day filled with music and whacky fun was rounded off by the singing of the Ganderson National Anthem Lefi G, sung to the tune of the Beatles song Let It Be.
