South West Trains weekend engineering

Trains from London Waterloo will be unable to call at New Malden or Berrylands. Long-distance train services will run as normal through this area on the lines which remain open.

Saturday 10th March

  • Trains from London Waterloo to Guildford via Cobham will be diverted after Raynes Park to run via Epsom. A bus service will run from Surbiton to Effingham Junction to connect.
  • Trains from Guildford to London Waterloo via Cobham will run the normal route with extra stops.
  • A shuttle train service will run between Surbiton and Hampton Court. Passengers should use alternative train services between London Waterloo and Surbiton to connect.
  • "Kingston Loop" services will be altered to run between London Waterloo and Shepperton via Twickenham and Kingston.
  • A bus service connecting with the above train services will run between Wimbledon and Surbiton, calling at all stations between Wimbledon and Kingston.
  • The normal train service between London Waterloo and Shepperton via Wimbledon will not run. Passengers use the altered Kingston Loop services or trains and buses via Wimbledon.
  • Some other suburban services will make additional stops to replace other altered / withdrawn services.
  • Berrylands will only have services towards London Waterloo, and passengers may need to change trains at Surbiton or Wimbledon.

Sunday 11th March

Trains will be unable to call at New Malden or Berrylands. Many train services will run as normal through this area on the lines which remain open, but the following will be altered:

  • Trains between London Waterloo and Hampton Court will run fast between Wimbledon and Surbiton.
  • "Kingston Loop" services will be altered to run between London Waterloo and Shepperton via Twickenham and Kingston. Additional semi-fast services will run between London Waterloo and Kingston via Twickenham.
  • A bus service connecting with the above train services will run between Wimbledon and Surbiton, calling at all stations between Wimbledon and Kingston.
  • The normal train service between London Waterloo and Shepperton via Wimbledon will not run. Passengers use the altered Kingston Loop services or trains and buses via Wimbledon.
  • Some other suburban services will make additional stops to replace other altered / withdrawn services.
  • Berrylands will have no service and passengers should use the K2 bus service (which will accept valid rail tickets) to Surbiton, Kingston or Tolworth to connect with trains.
