Does anyone know when the Surbiton Hotel is opening on St Mark's Hill and if the lounge will be made available to locals for drinking or just residents?
The bar is nice, but it is in the restaurant area itself.
The bar runs along the back wall, and the tables for drinkers are at the front of the restaurant - separated from the bar by the restaurant tables themselves. The are also a few sofas off to one side.
I am not sure how this will work in practice, but it is all open plan, so I am sure it could be changed.
Nice selection of beers, wine and cocktails, and they seemed priced about right - not ridiculously expensive, but high enough to keep the Wetherspoons drinkers in Wetherspoons.
The hotel itself seems finished to a good specification, but I can't help thinking that they will struggle a bit. Standard rooms are £150 per night, which is quite expensive when you are stuck right opposite a fairly rough pub and a busy station.
We just thought we'd better let you know Hotel Bosco has it's own page in the Best / Worst section of the site where you're able to give a rating and leave reviews.

What's the bar like? :)
Hotel bars can really be excellent sometimes.
